How we make baby care
Parents usually come to us looking for a baby massage oil without mineral oil, or a baby powder without talc. Both are here. Baby Massage Oil is a classical ten-flower oil with no mineral oil, and Baby Powder is talc-free, made with arrowroot, tapioca starch and kaolin.
A simple daily routine: Baby Massage Oil before the bath, Natural Gangajal Baby Soap with goat milk in the bath, and Baby After Shower Oil or Baby Cream on dry patches afterwards. Keep Baby Diaper Rash Balm for nappy changes.
In winter, warm the oil slightly in your palms and massage in a warm room. Baby products have the shortest ingredient lists we make, with no added parfum. Always patch-test on a small area first, and speak to your paediatrician before using any new product on a newborn or on broken skin.
Questions about baby care
Which oil is best for baby massage in winter?
A warm, gentle oil applied in a warm room. Our Baby Massage Oil is a classical ten-flower herbal oil with lavender. Warm a few drops between your palms and use slow, light strokes. Patch-test on baby's arm first.
Can I use coconut oil for baby massage in winter?
Yes, in a warm room. Coconut oil turns solid in the cold, so stand the bottle in warm water first. If your baby's skin is very dry, a richer oil may suit them better in winter.
What cream is good for baby diaper rash?
Change nappies often, let the skin dry fully, then apply a thin layer of a barrier balm at every change. Our Baby Diaper Rash Balm is shea butter and coconut oil with nettle, calendula and chamomile. See a doctor if the rash blisters, bleeds, spreads or lasts more than a few days.
Is baby powder safe?
Choose a talc-free one and keep it away from baby's face. Shake it into your palm first, then pat it onto folds. Our Baby Powder is arrowroot, tapioca starch and kaolin clay with calendula, chamomile and marigold, and no talc.
Should you apply baby oil after a bath?
Yes, on damp skin straight after the bath, so the oil holds moisture in. Pat baby dry, warm a few drops of Baby After Shower Oil between your palms and massage gently.
