1PLANT OILS & BUTTERS
Shea Butter, Virgin Coconut Oil, Sesame Oil infused with Nettle & Calendula & Chamomile Powders
Cold-pressed seed, nut and fruit oils plus unrefined butters.
Nappy rash rarely gives warning. Keeping this baby diaper rash balm beside the changing mat means the answer is already there, a thin layer at every change, before redness has a chance to settle in. Shea butter and calendula lead the formula: the first lays down a soft barrier against wetness, the second is a flower long used in Indian and European households to comfort sore skin.
The balm is firm in the jar and softens between your fingers, spreading thinly without dragging. Sesame oil slowly infused with nettle, calendula and chamomile powders and virgin coconut oil add softness, while Kashmiri lavender keeps the scent faint. No petrolatum, PEGs, parabens or parfum. Only whole plant ingredients.
Does baby powder help nappy rash? Not much: powder absorbs damp but does not protect the skin from it. A barrier balm does, which is why paediatric advice favours a thin layer at every change on clean, fully dry skin. If the rash blisters, bleeds or is not improving, please see your paediatrician.

Shea Butter, Virgin Coconut Oil, Sesame Oil infused with Nettle & Calendula & Chamomile Powders, Kashmiri Lavender Essential Oil
A barrier balm in a thin layer at every change, on clean and fully dry skin, is what paediatric advice generally favours. Ours uses shea butter to lay down a soft barrier against wetness, with calendula, nettle and chamomile infused in sesame oil.
Not much. Powder absorbs damp but does not protect the skin from it, while a barrier balm does, so a balm is the better choice for the nappy area.
Clean the nappy area and let it dry completely, then spread a thin, even layer. Repeat at every change, day and night; thin and frequent works better than a thick coat.
We make it for babies in nappies, with no petrolatum, PEGs, parabens or synthetic fragrance. Patch test on a small area first, and check with your paediatrician for a newborn.
Yes, many parents use it at every change as routine protection rather than waiting for redness.
Nappy rash can make the skin sore and uncomfortable, which is why some babies fuss at changes. If the rash blisters, bleeds, spreads, comes with fever or is not improving, please stop and see your paediatrician.
