1WHOLE PLANTS, POWDERS & CLAYS
Arrowroot Powder, Tapioca Starch, Kaolin Clay, Calendula Powder, Chamomile Powder, Marigold Powder
Whole herbs, shade-dried powders, mineral clays and natural exfoliants.
Parents have been rethinking talc for good reason, and this talc-free baby powder is the alternative: built entirely from plant starches and clay. Arrowroot and tapioca soak up the damp that gathers in neck folds, thighs and the nappy area, while silky kaolin clay reduces the rubbing that turns damp skin sore. Calendula, chamomile and marigold powders are milled in to keep the blend gentle.
The texture is fine and soft rather than chalky, and it settles rather than clouding when patted on. A trace of lavender gives it a clean, fresh smell without anything synthetic. Blended in small batches with no talc, parfum, parabens, phthalates or coal-tar dyes. Nothing beyond plants and mineral clay.
Which powder is best for a newborn, and is it needed every day? A talc-free powder like this is the safer choice, used sparingly in humid weather or on skin folds that stay damp. Take a little into your own palm, away from the baby's face, and pat it on; never shake it over the baby. For nappy rash, a barrier balm works better than powder.
Plant starches and kaolin clay that absorb moisture in baby's folds, with zero talc.

A talc-free powder is the safer choice for babies, used sparingly. Ours is only arrowroot, tapioca, kaolin clay, calendula, chamomile and marigold powders with a trace of lavender oil; keep it away from baby's face so none is breathed in.

Not really. Powder absorbs damp but does not shield the skin from it, so for nappy rash a barrier balm works better.
Clean and dry the skin first, sprinkle a little into your own palm away from the baby, then pat it over the folds and nappy area. Never shake the jar over the baby.
Talc has faced questions over possible contamination, because it is mined from the ground alongside other minerals. Plant starches do the same job, holding damp and cutting friction, so we use those with kaolin clay instead.
Yes. Arrowroot and tapioca absorb damp, and kaolin clay reduces the rubbing that turns damp skin sore, so it works on adult skin folds too.
