Thirteen cold-process bars, cured for weeks so they keep their own glycerin. Read more: the best soap for dry skin in winter, turmeric soap benefits and cold-process vs regular soap.
Which soap suits your skin
Every bar is made by the cold-process method: oils and lye are mixed at low heat and the bars are cured for weeks. Curing lets the lye react completely, so none is left in the finished bar, and the natural glycerin stays in. That is why a handmade soap feels different from a regular bar.
Choose by skin type. For dry skin, especially in winter, Goat Milk Soap, Milk Malai Soap or Moisture Care Soap. For oily skin, Charcoal Soap, Clay Soap with multani mitti, or Bamboo & Basil Soap. For skin that reacts easily, Sensitive Skin Soap or Aloe Vera Cosmetic Soap. Turmeric Soap, made with turmeric powder and turmeric-infused water, is for dull skin.
Keep bars on a draining soap dish between uses. A dry bar lasts much longer than one left in water.
Questions about soaps
Is clay soap good for your skin?
For oily and combination skin, yes. Our Clay Soap uses French yellow clay, fuller's earth and multani mitti, cushioned with shea butter. If your skin is dry, use it once a day at most.
Is goat milk soap good for eczema or sensitive skin?
Many people with dry, sensitive skin find it gentler than ordinary soap. Our Goat Milk Soap is a creamy cold-process bar. It is a cosmetic, not a treatment, so ask a dermatologist about eczema and patch-test first.
Is cold-process soap better?
For many skins, yes. Cold-process soap is made at low heat and cured for weeks, so the natural glycerin stays in the bar and it washes without leaving skin as tight.
Can I use these soaps on my face?
Most people can. Aloe Vera Cosmetic Soap is the gentlest for the face; Turmeric Soap suits dull, blemish-prone skin. Keep the lather away from your eyes and moisturise afterwards.
Can handmade soap go bad?
It does not spoil like food, but the oils can turn stale over time. Keep the bar on a draining soap dish between uses and use it within the date on the pack.
