Body Massage Oil by GraceYes — Relaxing Body Massage Oil, Jatamansi & Lavender, 100 ml

Description

Abhyanga deserves better than the mineral oil most massage blends are built on. This body massage oil starts with watermelon seed oil, one of the lightest linoleic-rich oils there is, joined by pomegranate, cucumber seed, grapeseed and jojoba. Linoleic acid helps replenish the lipids skin uses to build its barrier, so the ritual does something beyond feeling good for twenty minutes.

There is enough slip for a proper massage, yet it disappears into the skin instead of leaving you needing a second shower. Sesame oil infused with rosemary, bacopa and jatamansi grounds the blend, and geranium and lavender carry the scent into something restful at night. No mineral oil, no silicones, no parabens and no synthetic fragrance standing in for botanicals.

How often should you do a body oil massage, and should you bathe after? Two or three times a week is a good rhythm, daily in dry winter months. Massage it in for ten to twenty minutes and either bathe afterwards, as tradition suggests, or simply let it absorb before bed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which oil is best for body massage in winter?

A light oil with enough slip for a proper massage that still absorbs afterwards. Ours leads with watermelon seed oil, joined by pomegranate, cucumber seed, grapeseed and jojoba oils, and in dry winter months you can use it daily.

Can I use massage oil as a body oil?

Yes. It sinks into the skin instead of leaving you needing a second shower, so it works as an everyday body oil too.

How often should I do a body massage with oil?

Two or three times a week is a good rhythm, and daily in dry winter months. Warm the oil between your palms, massage in slow circles for ten to twenty minutes, and continue until absorbed.

Should I bathe after an oil massage?

Either is fine. You can bathe afterwards, as tradition suggests, or simply let the oil absorb before bed.

Which skin types does this massage oil suit?

It works across skin types, including oily and combination skin, because jojoba resembles skin's own sebum and watermelon seed oil is unusually light. Patch test on your forearm first, as the blend contains geranium and lavender essential oils.

Can I use this oil for baby massage?

We make this blend for adults. For babies, our Baby Massage Oil is made for the daily malish, with only Daspushpadi oil and Kashmiri lavender.

CautionFor external use only. Avoid direct contact with eyes; rinse thoroughly if contact occurs. Patch test before use. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
