Clay Soap by GraceYes — Multani Mitti & French Clay Soap for Oily Skin, 100 gm

Description

Multani mitti has been the Indian answer to oily skin for centuries, usually as a messy weekend pack. This clay soap puts it into a daily bar alongside French yellow clay and fuller's earth, each clay pulling grime and oil from pores in a slightly different way. Together they make the bar absorbent while keeping it usable morning and evening.

Clays can go too far on their own, so the formula is deliberately cushioned. Shea butter softens the lather, rosehip oil contributes natural vitamin A relatives, and cold-process soap-making keeps the glycerin in to offset the clays. Lavender adds a soft finishing note. No sulphates, parabens, triclosan, parfum or artificial colour.

Is a multani mitti soap better than a multani mitti pack? For daily oil control, yes: it gives you the clays' oil-absorbing effect every day without the drying, cracking mask. It suits oily, acne-prone and combination skin; dry skin may find it too absorbing and should use it once a day at most.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is clay soap good for your skin?

For oily and combination skin, yes. Our bar uses three clays to absorb excess oil, and shea butter, rosehip oil and the bar's natural glycerin keep it from feeling harsh; dry skin may find it too absorbing for twice-daily use.

What is clay soap good for?

Everyday oil control. It gives you the oil-absorbing effect of a multani mitti pack every day, with French yellow clay and fuller's earth alongside, without the drying, cracking mask.

How do I use clay soap?

Wet your skin, massage the bar into a smooth lather and rinse well, then moisturise if your skin feels dry. Morning and evening suits oily skin; once a day suits combination or dry skin.

Is clay soap good for acne-prone skin?

It suits oily and acne-prone skin as a daily cleanser, since the clays absorb surface oil. It is not an acne treatment, so see a dermatologist for painful or persistent breakouts.

Is clay soap good for eczema?

We make this bar for oily skin, and it can be too absorbing for dry, eczema-prone skin. If you have eczema, ask your dermatologist which cleanser suits you.
