1PLANT OILS & BUTTERS
Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Watermelon Seed Oil, Sesame Oil, Sunflower Oil, Shea Butter, Olive Oil, Castor Oil
Cold-pressed seed, nut and fruit oils plus unrefined butters.
Oily skin gets treated like a problem to be scrubbed away, which is precisely why it rebounds oilier by afternoon. This bath bar for oily skin takes a lighter approach. Watermelon seed oil leads it, high in linoleic acid, the lightweight fatty acid that oil-prone skin often runs short of, and one that cleanses without setting off more oil.
Jojoba sits alongside it, close enough to skin's own oil to be recognised rather than resisted. Shea butter and olive oil stop the bar tipping into harshness, lavender settles freshly washed skin, and the cold-process method keeps the glycerin in. Pat dry and there is no tight, squeaky aftermath. Nothing synthetic added.
Which soap is best for oily skin in summer? One that controls shine without stripping, because stripped skin produces more oil. Use this bar once or twice a day on the face and body, rinse with lukewarm rather than hot water, and follow with a light moisturiser. Combination skin can use it on the oilier areas only.
Watermelon seed and jojoba oils cleanse oily skin without pushing it to make more.
