Kalonji Oil by GraceYes — Cold-Pressed Kalonji Oil (Black Seed) for Hair, 30 ml

Description

Black cumin seeds have been pressed for oil across South Asia and West Asia for a very long time, and thymoquinone is the compound that keeps them interesting. Our kalonji oil is for people dealing with hair fall, an itchy or flaky scalp, or skin that needs a bit of calming. Thymoquinone is a well-documented antioxidant, and the oil's linoleic and oleic acids feed the scalp directly.

It has the sharp, peppery smell real kalonji should have, a good sign, since diluted versions smell of almost nothing. Cold pressing avoids the heat that degrades thymoquinone, and there is no mineral oil, silicone or parfum in the bottle to stretch or mask it.

How do you use kalonji oil for hair growth, and can you leave it overnight? Mix one part kalonji oil with two parts coconut or almond oil, massage into the scalp and leave for at least an hour or overnight, two or three times a week. Kalonji is also traditionally used for early greys; results with any scalp oil build slowly over months.

How do I use kalonji oil for hair?

Mix one part kalonji oil with two parts coconut or almond oil, massage into the scalp and leave for at least an hour or overnight. Wash with a mild shampoo, two or three times a week.

Can I apply black seed oil directly on my hair?

Yes, it is a carrier oil rather than an essential oil, so it can go on the scalp undiluted. It has a strong, peppery smell, so many people prefer to mix it with coconut or almond oil; patch test first.

Does kalonji oil regrow hair or make hair black?

No oil can promise regrowth or reverse grey hair. Kalonji is traditionally used for early greys and scalp care, and results with any scalp oil build slowly over months; sudden or heavy hair loss needs a doctor.

Is black seed oil the same as kalonji oil?

Yes. Kalonji is the Indian name for black seed (black cumin, Nigella sativa), and ours is pressed cold from those seeds alone.

Can kalonji oil be applied on the face?

It can be used on congested areas of the skin. Patch test behind the ear or on the inner arm first, since it is a strong-smelling, potent oil.

CautionFor external use only. Avoid direct contact with eyes; rinse thoroughly if contact occurs. Patch test before use. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
