Neem Oil by GraceYes — Cold-Pressed Neem Oil for Dandruff & Skin, 30 ml

Description

Neem needs no introduction in India, but the version most people buy has been solvent-extracted and thinned out. This neem oil is pressed cold from the seeds, so its natural active compounds arrive intact. It is for scalps troubled by dandruff and itching, and for oily, breakout-prone skin, where neem's documented antifungal and antibacterial character is useful.

Be warned: it smells strongly of neem, garlicky, bitter and unmistakable, which is exactly what an undiluted, unperfumed bottle should smell like. Manufacturers usually add parfum to hide it. We would rather you had the oil at full strength and washed it off after treatment, with nothing else added to the bottle.

How do you use neem oil for dandruff? Mix one part neem oil with three or four parts coconut oil, massage into the scalp and leave it for at least an hour before washing, two or three times a week. For skin, a single drop diluted in a carrier oil is enough as a spot application. Do not use it on babies.

No oil can promise hair growth. Neem oil is for scalp care, mainly flaking, itching and excess oil, and hair fall from stress, illness or hormones needs a doctor's advice.

Can neem oil be used for lice?
