One ingredient on the label, and nothing else. Read more: cold-pressed vs refined oils and how to use neem powder in a face pack.

Why single-ingredient

Each product here has one ingredient on the label. They are the simplest things we sell, and the easiest to check if your skin reacts to many products: if something does not suit you, you know exactly what it was.

Use them on their own or as building blocks. The oils, coconut, sweet almond, kalonji and neem, work as they are or as the base for a blend of your own. The powders, amla, hibiscus, neem leaf and rose petal, mix with water, curd or an oil into hair and face packs.

Because nothing is added, store them well: oils closed and away from sunlight, powders dry and sealed, and use a dry spoon every time. Patch-test anything new for 24 hours before you use it widely.

Questions about single-ingredient

What does single-ingredient mean?

The pack holds one ingredient and nothing else: one oil, one powder or one essential oil, with no fillers, fragrance or colour added.

What is rose petal powder used for?

Mostly face packs. Mix Rose Petal Powder with milk or curd on its own, or half and half with neem powder for a softer pack.

What is rosemary powder used for?

A weekly scalp mask. Mix Rosemary Powder with water, oil or yoghurt into a paste, apply it to the scalp and hair, leave 20 to 30 minutes and rinse.

Can I mix single-ingredient products together?

Yes. That is the point of them. Mix powders fresh for each use, and dilute any essential oil in a carrier oil before it touches skin.
