1PLANT OILS & BUTTERS
Sesame Oil
Cold-pressed seed, nut and fruit oils plus unrefined butters.
Few traditional formulations are as revered, or as often diluted, as kumkumadi tailam. This 30 ml kumkumadi face oil keeps the classical structure intact: real saffron, red sandalwood, manjishtha and licorice alongside blue lotus, laksha, daruharidra and more than twenty other herbs, infused patiently in goat milk, rose water and sesame oil. It is for dark spots, blemish marks and skin that has lost its glow.
The oil pours a deep natural gold, entirely from saffron and the herbs rather than any added colour, and three or four drops are plenty. It sinks in fully by morning, leaving no film. Nothing here is mineral oil, silicone or perfume, all of which would only obstruct what an infused herbal oil is designed to do.
Can you use kumkumadi oil daily, and is it good for pimples? Nightly use suits normal, dry and dull skin. It is an oil, so very oily or acne-prone skin should start with two drops a few nights a week and watch how skin responds, rather than applying it over active breakouts. Daily sunscreen helps hold the evener tone you build.
Saffron, sandalwood and twenty-odd herbs, infused in goat milk and sesame oil.

It suits normal, dry and dull skin best. Because it is an oil, very oily or acne-prone skin should start with two drops a few nights a week and watch how the skin responds before using it nightly.

Use two drops at night on clean skin, pressed in rather than rubbed, a few nights a week to begin with. Keep it off active breakouts, and build up only if your skin stays comfortable.
Nightly use suits normal, dry and dull skin; oily skin may do better a few nights a week. Use it at night as the last step, and wear sunscreen during the day.
Warm three to four drops between your fingertips, press them onto a clean face and neck, then massage upward until absorbed. It sinks in by morning, and more than four drops will not help.
It is a classical saffron oil for dark spots, blemish marks and skin that has lost its glow. Ours keeps the classical recipe of over twenty herbs, including saffron, red sandalwood, manjishtha and licorice, infused in goat milk, rose water and sesame oil.
Its main drawback is that it is an oil, so it can feel heavy on very oily skin and does not belong on active pimples. Patch test first, and if you notice new breakouts, stop and see a dermatologist if they continue.
