Charcoal Powder by GraceYes — Activated Charcoal Powder for Face Mask, 100 gm

Description

For skin that is shining by lunchtime and congested by evening, this is charcoal powder for oily skin at its simplest: 100% fine activated charcoal, no clay, no fragrance, no dye. It suits oily and acne-prone skin, and combination skin that needs help only across the T-zone. Charcoal's value is physical rather than chemical: its enormously porous surface absorbs oil, dust and pollution residue, lifting away the build-up that congests pores.

Ours is milled and sifted very fine, which matters more than it sounds: a gritty charcoal drags on skin and never spreads evenly. This one whips into a smooth mask with water, yoghurt or aloe vera gel. Conventional black masks often lean on coal-tar dyes for their colour; here the colour is simply the charcoal.

How often should you use a charcoal face mask? Once a week is plenty for most skin, twice for very oily skin in summer. Mix one spoon with water or aloe gel, apply to clean skin, and rinse off before it dries completely, then moisturise. Dry skin should keep it to the nose and forehead.

It is best for oily and acne-prone skin; dry skin should keep it to the nose and forehead and leave it on for less time. It rinses off skin cleanly, but keep it off light towels and clothes while wet.

CautionFor external use only. Avoid direct contact with eyes; rinse thoroughly if contact occurs. Patch test before use. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
